Remember when returning to school meant investing in a few notebooks, a new box of crayons, and new shoes? If you wore a uniform university, you most likely got one of those too; or else, you got 1 or 2 new outfits. Which was it.
Well, times have changed. The provision list now contains things that was previously supplied by the schools – like scissors, glue and tissues. Every child wants a new backpack, notebooks, paper, pens (red, blue and black), glue sticks, ruler, tape, scissors, markers, folders as well as a calculator. In case you have two children so you shop the sales, you could still end up coughing up over $100.00 in supplies alone. And that doesn’t even count the modern clothes your child “has to have” or even the fees which are needed for art projects, lab costs, etc.
Don’t even get me moving on the supplies, including furniture and appliances, your son or daughter needs for faculty. Does it ever end?

1) Recycle – Confirm everything you currently have in the home. It is likely you have assorted crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc. available the home. Put these together in the pencil box which will help save a couple of bucks.

3) Reduce – Does your son or daughter have a very notebook from a year ago containing three pages of written material inside it and 77 blank pages left?
