Platinum Star Media Group Inc. is reeling now from the wake of misconduct allegations being levied against founder and CEO Marie Lemelle. Here’s that which you know.

Misconduct allegations against Lemelle first emerged publicly in July 2024 when SoCal Impact reported that they had completed a year-long investigation.

Investigators determined that “Lemelle, through overt and intentional acts mistreated and violated the victim in a number of ways, for example inhumane imposing of burdens, relentless and unremitting subjection to suffering, intimidation, permitting intimidating predatorily conduct, bearing false witness under oath within a court against an offence victim who posed no immediate threats, and abuse of power, especially through the unjust exercise of authority,” the coalition announced.
Lemelle denies the claims.
“The investigation wasn’t capable to substantiate any of the personal attacks levied contrary to the crime victim by Lemelle. The victim is credible along with the attacks around the victim can be extremely alarming, several prominent leaders said,” the report stated.
“The acts were deemed shameful for an individual who says he will empower girls, Gen Z and the next generation on The Social Good Movement Tour and who claims to advocate to the empowerment of girls locally, nationally, and globally,” the coalition said.
The California businesswoman owns multiple enterprises including Pitbull PR Agency Inc., and Angel City Salute (ACS). Lemelle is really a former City of Glendale Commissioner on the Status of Women, in line with the L.A. Times.
Within a statement Thursday morning, a spokesperson for the Town of Glendale said “we usually are not able to comment” in response to the claims.
“The best investigations expose wrongdoing or injustice and spark reform. We try to give voice towards the voiceless,” the coalition said.
“By improving transparency into investigations, SoCal Impact expects the volume of cases reported to raise and can work as a deterrent which will help prevent misconduct,” the report stated.
