A fresh 2016 Christmas rock-POP song has been written, composed and then recorded in a Phuket recording studios in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main intention of providing attention and exposure for the Phuket charity and children’s Orphanages that Mark supports. The tunes title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks sound is a special up-tempo rock/rock-pop song. Mark wrote and partially studio recorded a demo song guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket and has kept the demo guide since then looking forward to the chance to record once again. In August 2016 Mark began the recording process and used session musicians to studio record the music durring a six week period. The track contains 8 separate tracks and all session musicians were from the Philippines, including the lead vocalist ‘Micah Javier’.
Although I’m coming home for Christmas was studio recorded on Phuket island the mixing and mastering was made in the USA as a result of Mark wanted the best result and quality. The music is currently ready to be heard and downloaded by visiting the ‘Tsunami Day’ site.
The main goal of studio recording I’m coming home for Xmas is to bring as many people to the Tsunami Day web site that we can and then we hope in-turn they’ll be kind enough to help to 1 or all of the Phuket island charities, and to also download the song.
Another definitive goal is to be able enough downloads of the tune to help fund and set up a Phuket live music bar with open stage and recording studio / teaching room on Phuket, that will offer free instructions and tuition to local underprivileged children from the local schools and children’s orphanages. Up to now ‘La QingTing’ is not open yet but the website is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day site to promote his tune Tsunami Day that was inspired from his own personal experiences while he was living in Patong back in 2004 once the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. Much like ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the song Tsunami Day also brought awareness to regional Phuket Charities and children’s Orphanages.
