A fresh 2016 Christmas rock song has been written, composed and then studio recorded in a Phuket recording studio in Thailand by songwriter ‘Mark Hopkins’ with the main intention of providing attention and exposure for the Phuket island charities and Orphanage that Mark supports. You can listen and read more by going to the Tsunami Day website .
The tracks title is: I’m coming home for Christmas and the tracks genre is a special up-tempo rock n roll track. Mark wrote and partially studio recorded a demo music guide of ‘I’m coming home for Christmas’ in late 2015 on Phuket island and has kept the demo guide since then awaiting the possibility to record once again. In August 2016 Mark started the studio recording process and used local session players to record the music durring a six week period. The track contains 8 separate tracks and all session players were from the Philippines, including the female lead singer ‘Micah Javier’.
Even though I’m coming home for Christmas was recorded on Phuket island the mixing and mastering was made in the United States as a result of Mark wanted the most effective result and quality. The song ready to be heard and downloaded by visiting the ‘Tsunami Day’ site.
The key aim of studio recording I’m coming home for Christmas is to bring as many people to the Tsunami Day site as possible and then ideally in-turn they will be good enough to donate to at least one or all the Phuket island charities, and to also download the track.
One other primary goal is to have enough downloads of the tune to help fund and set up a Phuket live music bar with open stage and recording studio / training room on Phuket, which will offer free classes and tuition to local underprivileged kids from the area’s schools and orphanages. To date ‘La QingTing’ is not open yet but the internet site is below. (QingTing means: Dragon Fly in Chinese if you’re wondering).
About: Mark set-up the Tsunami Day internet site to market his tune Tsunami Day which was influenced from his own particular experiences while he was working in Patong in 2004 when the Tsunami devistated Patong on boxing day. Just like ‘I’m Coming Home For Christmas’the song Tsunami Day also brought awareness to local Phuket Charities and Orphanages. On the ‘Tsunami Day’ site there is numerous methods to greatly help including a Phuket Hotel and budget flight booking to Thailand booking system. Every cent helps.
Credits: Mark would like to credit his sponsors: Michael Dietvorst (CEO of Oriental Living), Stuart Baker (GM of Food Hygiene Asia), Alan Cooke ( MBE ), Adam Goodman (GM of Two Chefs Restaurants) and Cassius Rolfe-Johnson (CEO of Phuket Home Services).
